News 2 to air CMA Awards Wednesday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The 50th CMA Awards will air on News 2 Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m.

News 2’s Neil Orne and Dawn Davenport will be live on the red carpet. Join them at 6:30 p.m. for “CMA Awards – Live from the Red Carpet.”

Anchor Samantha Fisher will host an after show at 10:30 p.m. called “CMA Awards After Party.”

News 2’s Samantha Fisher will have a look behind the scenes at the “CMA Awards After Party” beginning at 10:35 p.m.

Entertainer of the year nominees include Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

Nominees for female vocalist of the year include Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Kacey Murgraves, and Carrie Underwood.

Nominees for male vocalist of the year include Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban.

Joey and Rory were one of five nominees for vocal duo of the year. Joey Feek died this year after a long battle with cervical cancer.
