CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man has been charged with DUI after police said he struck a 14-year-old child back in March.

According to a release, on Mar. 3 around 5 p.m. a group of juveniles were playing near Reynolds and Vine Streets, when the 14-year-old darted out into the street. The driver of the Ford Fusion wasn’t able to stop and struck him.

The teen was transported to the hospital, treated, and released.

Police said the driver, identified as 29-year-old Zachary Stanley, had the smell of an alcoholic beverage on him. He failed his field sobriety tests.

Stanley was taken to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with DUI. His bond was set at $10,000.
