Church gathers in prayer for community

On Saturday, members of Life Church Nashville gathered in prayer for the community.

“We believe that maybe Life Church can help, we don’t have all the answers, there’s a lot of great churches in this area but maybe we can do our part – maybe it is we can do what he’s asking us to do.” said Erich Lacks, Pastor of Life Church Nashville.

It was on Friday that Metro Police say robbers killed Brandon Teal and Jaime Sarrantonio outside The Cobra bar on Gallatin Road.

“To take a life so carelessly, they obviously don’t understand what they mean to our Lord.” said Kimber Manring, the Youth Pastor of Life Church Nashville.

The congregation told News 2 that for the past two months they’ve been gathering in prayer on Saturdays. Pastor Lacks said prayer this Saturday was to specifically focus on healing and unity to those who are hurting.

“I think Nashville needs what humanity needs, and that’s to know that there is a savior that loves them.” said Lacks
