NEW YORK (WCMH) — Chipotle has primarily stuck to its standard offerings for years: Burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, and salads.
Chipotle announced Thursday it will add six new menu items at its test kitchen in New York City, for eventual rollout nationwide.
The fast-casual giant is testing quesadillas, nachos, avocado tostadas, upgraded salads, milkshakes, and frozen Palomas.

Below are Chipotle’s descriptions of each new item:
Quesadillas: Quesadillas are one of our most widely requested menu items, which Chipotle has never had on the menu until today. It is a crispy, grilled tortilla wrapped around a melty, cheesy filling and your choice of meat, fajitas or sofritas.
Avocado Tostada: We recognized through market research that millennials were snacking a lot midday, which spurred this concept which is a crispy, corn tortilla that has been fried flat then topped with our fresh, homemade guacamole and your choice of salsas, lettuces, and cheese. Essentially, the Chipotle version of avocado toast.
Nachos: This has been another long-requested Chipotle item. They are made up of house-made corn tortilla chips that have been topped with queso and your choice of beans, salsas, and lettuce.
Spring Mix Salad with Avocado Citrus Vinaigrette: An updated salad blend that includes crispy Romaine, Tuscan Oak, Tuscan Red Leaf, and Lolla Rosa. The Avocado Citrus Vinaigrette is a creamy and bright dressing made from avocado, citrus, and cilantro.
Mexican Chocolate Shake: Based on traditional Mexican cocoa, this milkshake is rich and creamy, with a hint of cinnamon and spice.
Frozen Paloma: A tangy, boozy twist on a Paloma meets margarita.
