NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 16-year-old was shot and killed in Davidson County Monday night.
Metro police first reported the shooting around 10:45 p.m. when the victim — later identified as Marterious Boyd — was dropped off at Metro Nashville General Hospital in a pickup truck. That truck was later found abandoned on 15th Avenue North.
Metro police say the victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died from his injuries around 2 a.m.
Investigators say the pickup truck was taken via a stolen key fob last Friday from Keystone Avenue.
Detectives are now working to identify and question other occupants of the vehicle to figure out how Boyd was killed.
