Car flies off I-40, crashes into Bellevue home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A car ran off Interstate 40 and crashed into a home in Bellevue Friday morning.

Justin Northrup was driving his 2009 Mazda MS3 on I-40 East when he traveled off the roadway, through a tree line and into the back of a home on Colt Drive around 7:10 a.m.

No one inside the home was hurt.

Northrup, 33, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he remains in extremely critical condition.

Police said there was no evidence at the scene of drug or alcohol involvement.
