‘Bump and rob’ turns into shootout in Bellevue

Metro police are investigating after a “bump and rob” turned into a shootout in Bellevue early Wednesday morning. 

It happened just after midnight on General George Patton Road.  

Metro police said the suspect drove a vehicle into the victim’s and robbed her of her purse. 

During the robbery, gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and the victim, according to Metro police.

No one was injured and no damage was reported.  

The suspects were described by Metro police as young, black men, possibly teenagers, in a black sedan.  

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information was released.
