NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police have opened an investigation after a man was shot late Sunday night near lower Broadway.

According to Metro police who responded to the scene, it happened at 10:48 p.m. Authorities told News 2 one male victim was shot once in a parking garage on Rep. John Lewis Way and Broadway.

The 35-year-old victim was reportedly found in front of the Ray-Ban store, located at 5072 Broadway Place, then transported to the hospital with a non-critical gunshot wound in the leg.

Following the preliminary investigation, police are now working to identify two suspects who fled the scene in a red Chevy Equinox. The driver and the passenger reportedly got into an argument with a parking gate attendant before the passenger pulled out a pistol and shot the attendant.

The passenger is described as a black man in his late 20s to early 30s. He had a beard and tattoos on his neck and over his left eye. He was also said to be wearing a white button-down shirt with thin dark stripes, tan pants, stud earrings and a gold chain.

The driver is described as a black woman in her late 20s to early 30s, with long braided hair and a tattoo on her right arm. She was wearing a turquoise jumper with white bracelets on her wrist.

There was also a young girl in the backseat of the vehicle, estimated to be between 8-10 years old.
