Brick thrown at Metro officers inside North precinct

News

A 32-year-old man is accused of throwing a brick into glass Tuesday at the Metro Nashville Police Department’s North precinct while officers were seated behind it.

Marquise Allen was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and one count of vandalism.

According to an arrest affidavit, Allen walked into the North precinct on 26th Avenue North Tuesday and told officers seated at the front desk, “I caught a charge, can you call police?” then exited the building.

The suspect returned with a “large piece of brick” and threw it “at the glass that the officers were seated behind,” the paperwork stated.

Police said there was visible damage to the glass but no one was injured.

Bond for Allen was set at $12,000.
