WACERLY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The boil water order for residents of Waverly has been lifted.

The Waverly Department of Public Safety says the water has been tested and deemed safe. Residents are reminded to dispose of any ice in their ice makers made during the boil water order.

The order was put in place after 20 people were killed in catastrophic flooding last weekend.
