A man accused of using a scooter to damage an ATM in Downtown Nashville has been charged with vandalism.

Metro police said Bank of America security spotted a man wearing a black hoodie and a blue undershirt hitting the glass entrance doors with a Bird Scooter on November 25.

The man, identified by investigators as 30-year-old Curtis Causey, was taken into custody.

The following day, an employee at Regions Bank reported $2,300 worth of damage to an ATM located on 4th Avenue North.

According to police, surveillance video from the morning prior to that captured Causey wearing the same black hoodie and blue undershirt using a Bird Scooter to damage the ATM.

Causey was charged Saturday. He is expected in court on Tuesday.
