Autopsy reveals new information about deadly police shooting

An autopsy reveals that a man shot and killed by police in North Nashville Thursday was shot multiple times, News 2 has learned.

Dr. Feng Li, Metro Medical Examiner, would not comment further, saying the examination is very detailed. He did not release whether Daniel Hambrick was shot in the front or the back, or exactly how many times he was shot.

25-year old Daniel Hambrick, who Metro police say had a gun, died after being shot by officer Andrew Delke.  Hambrick was allegedly running from the scene of an incident involving a stolen vehicle. The shooting took place at 17th Ave. North and Jo Johnston Avenue.

Delke is on administrative leave, per department protocol following officer-involved shootings.

The Fraternal Order of Police says Delke has given a statement to the TBI, detailing his version of events.

Surveillance camera video obtained by News 2 provides a first look at the dramatic events following the shooting. Security cameras captured the moments before and after the deadly encounter Thursday night.
