Authorities capture woman who escaped Kentucky prison

EDDYVILLE, Ky. (WKRN) – Authorities have captured a woman who escaped from a medium-security prison in west Kentucky Wednesday night.

Kentucky State Police reported Lostia Shreves was taken into custody at 12:22 p.m. Sunday at a vacant residence off Harpool Lane in the Flint Hill area.

Shreves turned up missing when the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex conducted a head count on Wednesday night.

She was serving time for felony probation violation on charges of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful distribution of meth precursors and burglary.

Shreves now faces new charges for burglary in the third-degree and will be held in the Hardin County Detention Center.
