GILES COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two teenagers are facing charges after authorities say they had guns on school property.
A sheriff’s deputy and school resource officer (SRO) made the arrests Wednesday afternoon at Giles County High School.
According to a press release, Orlando Ray Jr. was seen in the car rider line waiving a weapon out the window.
The SRO received a report about the incident and found the car. The 18-year-old is accused of having a loaded .45 caliber gun in his possession.
A second teenager riding in the car, a 15-year-old boy, was also in possession of a .380 caliber gun, according to authorities.
The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Youth Services and Ray was transported to Giles County Sheriff’s Department.
Both are charged with possession of firearm on school property.
