2 Gives Back: Red Cross donations top $42,000 for Hurricane Michael victims

The generosity of News 2 viewers will help a lot of Hurricane Michael victims in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. 

Donations reached $42,351 during Monday’s drive at the American Red Cross in Nashville.

Our sister stations across the state also helped raise money. 

The largest single donation came from Delta Dental of Tennessee with a check for $10,000.  

More than 50 volunteers from Tennessee are hard at work helping people who’ve lost almost everything in the hurricane. 

The Red Cross expects this to be a very long disaster relief response.
