NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man and a woman were charged with the partial decapitation death Thursday of a man in East Nashville.
Metro police said Lewis Shuler, 31, and 25-year-old Tiffany Biggs were charged early Friday morning with killing Tremayne Cross.
Officers were called to the 400 block of South Fourth Street around 1:45 a.m. when someone called 911 to report Cross lying by a dumpster.
Cross lived near Shuler and Biggs in the J.C. Napier public housing development and left with them in a black Dodge Charger around 1 a.m, according to police.
Arriving officers found Cross bleeding profusely from a large cut to his neck, according to police.He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died during surgery.
Metro police believe Shuler and Biggs returned to the J.C. Napier area alone momentarily before driving the Charger a short distance to Mildred Shute Avenue and set it on fire.
Shuler and Biggs were booked into the Metro jail and are being held on a $1 million bond each.
