NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Brendan Burns knows all too well what it feels like to have a gun pointed at you.

“My face, directly at my face,” he told News 2.

He says he was approached by two gunmen last Friday in the parking lot of his apartment complex Bellevue Heights.

“Before I even knew what happened he’s just like right there beside me and I’m looking down the barrel of a silver revolver.”

The suspects got away with his car, cellphone, and other belongings. Three teens were later apprehended by police for the crime.

“It was extremely traumatic,” he said.

There was a similar situation Wednesday night in the neighboring complex, Lexington Apartments.

A young woman told police two men, both armed with handguns, forced her to the ground outside of her apartment and began demanding money.

“That’s what happened to me,” Burns explained. She has since moved.

The suspect’s took her phone and car keys before a neighbor intervened firing his gun scaring the suspects off into the woods.

One of the suspects then aimed their gun at the neighbor. Fearing for his life, the neighbor fired a second shot toward the armed robber and they ran off.

A pursuit of the suspect’s vehicle led police to four people. They have been identified as Anya Glanton, Antione Strother, Demoscon Shannon-Hardin, and Bryan Christopher Pasquini.

They tried to run from police, but with the help of K-9 units, all four were arrested.

News 2 checked with police and there have been 55 service calls to the Lexington Apartment complex in the past three months.

While Bellevue neighbors say they feel like crime is up in the area, Metro police told News 2 robberies are down by 8.3 percent from this time last year in the West Precinct.News 2 is committed to tracking crime across Middle Tennessee. Visit wkrn.com/crimetracker for the latest.
