NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A two-alarm fire at a south Nashville apartment complex early Saturday morning left 10 apartments uninhabitable.

The fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at Sycamore Apartments, which is located at the corner of Lebanon Pike and Spence Lane.

The district fire chief on scene said the cause was not immediately known, but by the time crews arrived the fire was concentrated to the roof of the affected building, Apartment G.

No one was injured and the chief credited smoke detectors and the fire alarm system in the building for saving lives.

He estimated approximately 20-30 people were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No additional information was immediately released.
