A man arrested 7 times for driving under the influence walked away from a hospital Tuesday night and police want him back.
Mt. Juliet police are looking for Steven Summer II. Summers, 36, was arrested Monday after a short chase. Police say he was losing consciousness behind the wheel when they spotted him on Lebanon Road.
They took him to Tennova Healthcare in Lebanon. A court order was sent to the hospital requiring them to notify police if Summers was going to be released. But Summers didn’t wait around. He ripped off hospital monitoring equipment and walked out around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Summers is wanted for his 7th DUI offense, evading arrest, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and his 5th offense of driving on a revoked license, among other charges.
