NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting outside a south Nashville nightclub early Saturday morning.

It happened at Reign Night Club and Sports Bar, located in the Priest Lake Plaza shopping center, near the intersection of Murfreesboro Pike and Bell Road.

Metro police told News 2 the three men left the venue around 2:30 a.m. when the shooter approached their SUV, tried to open the door, and then opened fire.

All three were inside the vehicle when they were shot.

The victims were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where one of them, 28-year-old Bill Ray Long Jr., was pronounced dead.

LeAnthony Cathey, 37, of Humboldt, was shot in the abdomen and remains hospitalized.

The third victim, 30-year-old Malcolm Fuller, of Jackson, suffered a wound to his arm. He was treated and released.

A fourth person in the SUV was not hurt.

Investigators have identified the suspected gunman as Cedarius Williams. According to authorities, the victims knew Williams and had drinks with him inside the club.

There was no indication of an argument between the men, and no motive has been named at this time.

Williams, who remains at large, has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.

This is not the first shooting incident involving the south Nashville nightclub.

In May, a 27-year-old man was shot outside Club Reign when four men in a white sedan drove up and opened fire. 

Also, in April of last year, a man was injured when two shots were fired inside the venue.
