1 killed, 1 injured in shooting on I-65


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A portion of Interstate 65 in North Nashville was shut down for several hours Sunday morning after two men were found shot in a vehicle.

Metro police said officers were called around 6 a.m. to a shooting incident along I-65 just north of Trinity Lane.

According to officers, 20 year-old David Marsh was driving a white Chevrolet Malibu northbound on I-65 and after being shot, managed to pull over near Trinity Lane.

His passenger, 23-year-old Antonio Wilkins, was also shot, according to a release.

Marsh and Wilkins were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where Marsh died.

Police said Wilkins told them multiple rounds were fired at them from the passenger side of the vehicle.

The 23-year-old, who was treated and released, was arrested on two misdemeanor probation violation warrants related to a 2015 drug possession conviction.
