1 in custody after North Nashville standoff


One person is in custody after a standoff with police in North Nashville Thursday morning.  

It happened at Knollcrest Apartments on Creekwood Drive, not far from Briley Parkway. 

The situation ended peacefully just before 5:30 a.m. when one person was taken into custody. 

Tactical officers were called to the residence around 2 a.m. for a reported domestic incident.  

Metro police reported 24-year-old Richard Williams Jr. was charged with false imprisonment, aggravated assault, theft and resisting arrest.

He was booked into the Metro jail on a $84,000 bond.
