Investigators determined Jenkins was with Gerold Askew, 52, and Derrick Asbury, 50, on the morning on May 2 when he got into a fight with Askew.

Asbury became involved in the fight and later told detectives he hit Jenkins on the head and body with a stick, according to Metro police.

Askew is believed to have kicked Jenkins when he was down.

Asbury has been charged with criminal homicide and a homicide warrant for Askew has been issued.

Efforts to locate Askew are ongoing.

Anyone with information on Askew’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
