Nashville Zoo Nursery Cam is now featuring a Spotted Fanaloka. This is the first Fanaloka born at Nashville Zoo and in the United States, according to the AZA database. He was born to the single pair at the zoo and the mother was not attentive. The cub was noted to be weak and not nursing after 12 hours with the mother. It was elected to pull the cub for hand rearing. Vet staff have worked around the clock to rehydrate the cub and to get him on a bottle. He has since gained weight and is bright, alert and active.
