Fundraiser tops $100,000 for Nashville Children’s Alliance

Community

It was a brisk morning for a 5K walk. But that didn’t stop folks from bundling up in the freezing temperatures to support the Nashville Children’s Alliance.

The walk started at Sevier Park in the 12 South area. Dozens of teams signed up to raise money for the agency.

The Nashville Children’s Alliance fights child abuse across Middle Tennessee.

The annual event raised more than $100,000.

News 2 is a media sponsor of the walk and Linda Ong was honored to serve as emcee.

April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month.
