‘Bikes or Bust’ campaign to give away hundreds of bicycles to deserving children

Get into the holiday spirit this weekend by donating a bicycle to the Bikes or Bust campaign at JACK fm Radio.

This is the 8th year that 93.6JACKfm has put out the call for bikes and cash donations. Every penny raised through ‘Bikes or Bust’ goes toward buying bikes that are donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

Starting this Friday, November 16 – Monday, November 19, you can bring a new bike to Providence Marketplace in Mt. Juliet in the parking lot near the Regal theater between 6:00 AM-6:00 PM. The bikes will be collected by the Marines around noon on Monday.

Marines and volunteers will be on hand building bicycles in Santa’s Workshop. Bikes can be assembled or not. And cash donations are welcome, too.

If you can’t make it to Providence Marketplace you can visit 96.3JACKfm.com and make a secure online donation in the Jingle Bell Bank.

News 2 is partnering again this year with 93.6JACKfm, which has delivered more than 3,000 bicycles to underprivileged children. That’s an estimated $150,000 in bikes going to Toys for Tots.
