NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police officers work a lot of different beats. Community engagement is key for police departments to help keep residents safe.

Recently Metro police Chief John Drake announced a new team to work with the Metro Development and Housing Authority at locations across Nashville.

The goals are to cut down on crime, build trust and improve quality of life.
