Nickelle’s career in TV news began in Augusta, Georgia, where she was a Weekend News Anchor/Reporter for WAGT (NBC) and a reporter for WJBF (ABC). Nickelle covered a wide variety of stories in the Augusta-Aiken, South Carolina, area, including the case of a missing priest from Jacksonville, Florida, found murdered in Burke County.

Born and raised in Jamaica, Nickelle moved with her family to Florida at 10 years old. Nickelle graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in broadcast news and a minor in business administration.

While in college, Nickelle reported for GTN News (NBC/CBS) as an intern, and she spent a summer in New York City interning for CBS News.
