Mark Kelly

Anchor/Reporter

Mark Kelly joined the News 2 team in August 2022. He anchors News 2 at 4 with Alex Denis.

Before moving to Nashville, Mark was the morning anchor for six years at the ABC affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Mark, his wife, Sally, and their two young daughters, Delta and Zenaida, are thrilled to be here in Tennessee for a number of reasons. They are living closer than they have ever been to family; Mark’s parents live in Hendersonville, and his in-laws are next door in Virginia. But, they are also excited about living in all four seasons again, taking adventures around the gorgeous Tennessee countryside, and enjoying the music and art scene here in Middle Tennessee.

During his time anchoring in Florida, Mark received an Emmy for a special that took a deep dive into the opioid crisis. Mark also did around-the-clock coverage anchoring for several large hurricanes.

Before Florida, Mark was the weekend anchor at KPIX-TV, the CBS affiliate in San Francisco where he received an Edward R. Murrow award in the hard news reporting category.

Mark’s first job in television news was at WSET-TV in Lynchburg, Virginia where he was a reporter and fill-in anchor.

He graduated magna cum laude from the Missouri School of Journalism and its Honors College with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science.
