Julia Palazzo joined the News 2 team in December 2019 and is beyond thrilled to call one of her favorite cities home.
Julia moved to Music City from WKRN’s sister station, WDTN, in Dayton, Ohio, where she was co-host of “Living Dayton,” an afternoon lifestyle show. She also filled in as an anchor and reporter covering big stories like the 2019 Memorial Day tornado outbreak that saw more than a dozen tornadoes devastate the Miami Valley.
Her career started at ABC 57 News in the land of the Fighting Irish, South Bend, Indiana, where she was a multimedia journalist and a weekend morning anchor.
A New Jersey native, Julia is a city girl at heart and it didn’t take long for her to fall in love with Nashville after visiting for the first time in early 2019.
She graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick with a double major in Journalism/Media Studies and Political Science. During her undergraduate career, she tackled five internships including opportunities at NBC News and WABC-TV in New York City.
When she’s not in front of the camera, you can find Julia checking out the best places to eat in Nashville, cheering on her New York Jets and Mets, trying out the latest workout craze or running a half marathon.
