Elizabeth Lane is a reporter on Good Morning Nashville. She joined the News 2 team in January 2020.
Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Elizabeth graduated from The University of Alabama with a B.A. in Communication and Information Sciences and a minor in Political Science.
Elizabeth comes to Nashville from ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama, where she kept a close eye on local politics. She was first to uncover a federal investigation into a local man accused of contacting 9/11 terrorists. She also broke the story of a sheriff charged with misusing jail food funds.
Elizabeth’s career started in Lubbock, Texas, anchoring and reporting at KAMC News.
Before beginning her news career, she completed a fellowship in the Press Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Elizabeth worked closely with the press team in response to the tragic Dallas police shooting at a Black Lives Matter march.
While she is proud of her achievements thus far, Elizabeth focuses on giving back to the community through non-profit organizations including Make-A-Wish.
