Anchor/Reporter

Alex Denis is a multiple Emmy and AP award-winning journalist. Prior to WKRN, Alex spent 8 years at WCBS in New York City launching the station groups’ first live-streamed digital newscast. In addition to solo anchoring the show daily, she served as part of the CBS 2 morning show team.

Alex also regularly filled in on CBS News’ digital show, notably solo anchoring live for 4 hours straight when news of the Mueller Report broke.

This isn’t the first time Alex has called Music City home.

Viewers already know her from a time where she co-anchored a local morning show while her husband served as an Army Infantry Officer in the 101st Airborne while stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. He deployed once to Afghanistan and twice to Iraq.

Alex’s career started in Florida, working at WFTS – Tampa and then at WJHG in Panama City.

A Florida native, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Mass Communications degree.

She, her husband, son and daughter, along with their chocolate lab are thankful to be back in Nashville.
