Alex Corradetti

Alert Desk Reporter

Alex Corradetti joined the News 2 team in October of 2019. She is a breaking news alert desk reporter. She is originally from Chicago and is ecstatic to be working in Nashville. 

Prior to joining WKRN, Alex was a morning anchor and reporter at WCIA 3 News in Champaign, IL. In this role, Alex also created her own reporting franchise. She covered an array of stories, creating stronger community relationships. 

Alex graduated with honors from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and minors in the areas of political science and sociology.  

During her collegiate years, she won first place for Outstanding Soft Program at the Illinois News Broadcasters Association Awards.  

Alex continued to gain media exposure while working for The Chicago Tribune. She also worked with ABC 7’s Windy City Live to produce content for segments and social media.  

Alex is passionate about storytelling and public speaking. She believes that the most compelling stories are the ones that impact people’s lives. 

In her free time, she loves to travel, watch movies, go to sporting events, spend time with family and play with her dog Roxy. She is also a pun enthusiast, earning her the nickname ‘The Pun Queen’.
