Soaking rain headed for middle Tennessee

A slow moving storm, now pushing through the southern Great Plains will head toward middle Tennessee overnight spreading rain into the region Sunday morning.

Sunday looks to be a washout with rain continuing, on and Off through the day and into Sunday night.

Temperatures will struggle through the 50s into the low 60s Sunday then fall back through the 50s at night.

The steady rain looks to move slowly to the east and northeast of the midstate Monday but the air will still be unstable enough for scattered showers during the midday and afternoon.

There is still the chance of scattered showers Tuesday as the storm very slowly pulls away to the northeast.

Even Wednesday, a few scattered showers are possible as another system moves across the state from the northwest.

Already this month Nashville has received over 3 inches of rain, about a half inch above normal. Rainfall totals through Wednesday look to be another1.5-2 inches. Widespread flooding is not expected at this time since the rain will be spread over four days. All in all, a soggy time for middle Tennessee through midweek.
