19-year-old shot, killed in north Nashville - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

The 19-year-old fatally shot over the weekend was the victim of an apparent murder-attempted suicide, Metro police said.

The shooting happened early Sunday, outside the victim's home on Gwen Drive near Brick Church Pike.

Police said 20-year-old Brandon Watson shot his live-in girlfriend 19-year-old Audra McCullough after an argument.  She later died.

Watson was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

He was last listed is in critical condition.

Witnesses reported he had been drinking when the shooting occurred at about 12:15 a.m.
