Renewed search effort for missing mother, daughter

The search for a missing Roberston County mother and child gained new support Saturday.

The KlaasKids Foundation and the Laurel Recovery Center spearheaded the renewed search for Jennifer and Adrianna Wix.

Approximately 75 volunteers helped rescue teams comb through property in Robertson County.

The KlaasKids Foundation's mission is to stop crimes against children by forming and promoting partnerships with concerned citizens, organizations and law enforcement.

"What makes this search is significant is that we are engaging the community and we are empowering them to be a roll player in every bit of this." Brad Dennis, of KlaasKids said.

Volunteers went through hours of training in search and management techniques.

The search efforts continues at 8 a.m. Sunday at the National Guard Armory in Springfield.

Volunteers are still needed.
