Vigil for missing mother, daughter turns to anger

It has been four years since Jennifer Wix and her daughter Adrianna vanished from their home outside of Cross Plains in Robertson County.

At their time of her disappearance, Wix and her daughter lived with Joey Benton.

On Sunday, dozens of friends, family and community supporters gathered in a small cemetery next to Benton's home to honor the pair.

During the vigil, gunshots were fired, angering friends and family who said the shots came from the Benton home.

Benton said he did not fire the shots, adding he would be with the group of friends and family in support of finding Wix and Adrianna if they "did not hate me."

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office said they are still investigating the Wix case.

Investigators said there is no evidence of foul play.
