Family prays for justice in toddler's death

SMYRNA, Tenn. -

The remains found in January at the Stones River Battlefield in Rutherford County have been positively identified as that of a missing Smyrna toddler.

Analyce Guerra, 2, had been missing since April 2006.

Friday, News 2 spoke with Guerra's grandmother, Guadalupe Gonzalez.

She said wants those responsible for her little granddaughter's death to be found.

"With all of my heart I forgive this person, I really do, but I don't want this to happen to another child,' she told News 2.  "...We now pray for the lord to lead the detectives to the person who did this."

Smyrna police said there were obvious signs of foul play and that Guerra suffered trauma.

The case is now a homicide investigation.

Police have not identified any suspects, but said they are following several leads.
