2 pounds ground beef
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 envelope dried onion soup mix
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 small onion finely chopped
2 eggs
4 strips of bacon
Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Mound into a loaf and place gently into 9x5 metal loaf pan. Place bacon strip over top of loaf. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour 20 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before slicing.
