K9 officer helps catch burglary suspects in Madison

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Metro K9 officer helped catch two burglary suspects early Monday morning in Madison.

Police on scene told News 2 a 20-year old man and two juveniles broke into El Rodeo Mercado Latino on North Gallatin Pike around 2 a.m. in an attempt to steal beer.

All three suspects fled the scene after they allegedly busted out a window to get inside.

K9 Officer Cletus tracked down one of the juvenile suspects hiding in the neighborhood off Sarver Avenue and Pierce Road. The suspect sustained minor bite marks and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The second juvenile suspect was also found by Cletus near some railroad tracks.

The third suspect, the 20-year-old, was arrested near the scene.

All three face serious charges including curfew violation for the two juveniles.
