Hunters Lane students hospitalized due to 'strange behavior'

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Four students at Hunters Lane High School in Nashville were transported to a local hospital Wednesday after school officials reported strange behavior.

Metro Schools' spokesperson Joe Bass told News 2 a fifth student was also taken to the hospital after the school's assistant principal saw the student take a pill.

Bass couldn't confirm if the two incidents were related. It also wasn't clear if the students overdosed.

He said the principal called medical personnel because she was unsure what was wrong with the students.

All five students were transported via ambulance as a precaution.

Additional information was not released.

Hunters Lane High School is located off Dickerson Pike in Madison.
