2 airlifted to area hospitals following Coffee County crash

MANCHESTER, Tenn. -

Both drivers involved in a two-car collision in Coffee County were flown to area hospitals Wednesday morning.

The wreck happened before 7 a.m. on Volunteer Parkway near the intersection of Arnold Center Road in Manchester.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 21-year-old Haley Whitsell somehow veered into on-coming traffic and struck another vehicle head-on.

Whitsell was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with unknown injuries.

The driver of the other car, 52-year-old Thomas Duliba, was first taken to Manchester Medical Center but was soon flown to Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga with unknown injuries.

The passenger in Duliba's car, 36-year-old Yuane Duliba, was also injured and taken to Manchester Medical.

Additional information was not released.
