NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

After failing to be reinstated at Vanderbilt University, Kedren Johnson reportedly committed to Memphis Wednesday.

One report also indicates Johnson is seeking a waiver to play this season.

Johnson was booted from the Vanderbilt program last summer, but was hoping to return.

Last week, head coach Kevin Stallings said Johnson came up short in meeting his responsibilities to return.

It's another big loss for the Commodores.

Johnson averaged 13.4 points per game in 2012-13 after violating university policy.
