A plane was diverted to Nashville International Airport Wednesday morning due to a cracked windshield.
Emily Richard, a spokesperson for the airport, told News 2 United Airlines Flight No. 357 took off from Columbus, Ohio, and was en route to Houston, Texas.
It landed safely at BNA at 6:45 a.m.
The plane was carrying 74 people.
A spokesperson for Republic Airways Holdings Inc., United Airlines’ parent company, told News 2 there was no indication the crack was caused by a bird strike.
He said the pilot saw a potential problem with the windshield and made the decision to divert to Nashville.
The passengers were put on another plane and continued on to Houston.
Maintenance crews on the ground are examining the plane.
Additional information was not released.
