DAYTONA BEACH, FL (WFLA) -

An 18-year-old man who was beaten unconscious by a Daytona Beach father who allegedly caught him sexually abusing his son has pleaded not guilty Thursday.

Raymond Frolander's beaten mug shot went viral after his July arrest. A new mug shot was released Thursday, WESH 2 News says.

The father, who WESH 2 News does not identify to protect the identity of the victim, said he walked in to see Frolander and his 11-year-old son in bed.

The father beat up Frolander, then called police. "I just walked in and found a grown man molesting (my child), and I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now, officer," he said.

The father said he thought about killing Frolander with a knife, but his son stopped him.

Frolander remains in jail without bond. He will be compelled to undergo HIV testing per a court order.
