2 adults, 2 kids injured after driver runs red light in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Four people, including two children, were injured after a driver ran a red light in Clarksville.

The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on August 8 at the intersection of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Old Trenton Road.

According to ClarksvilleNow.com, video from a red light camera shows the driver of a silver Honda Accord run a light 21 seconds after it had changed to red.

The driver, 21-year-old Kourtnee Candler, was taken to Gateway Medical Center by ambulance.

The driver of the car Candler hit, 39-year-old Brendan M. McGettigan, and his two children, ages 6 and 9, were taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

An update on their conditions wasn’t known.

Police said charges in the crash are also pending.
