Kendall Wright says he feels like a 'whole different player'

While the Tennessee Titans are busy learning their new offense under the direction of Ken Whisenhunt, one member of the receiving corps is already anticipating a great season.

“I don’t know why, but I feel like a whole different player out there,” wide receiver Kendall Wright told News 2 and other members of the media. “I feel way more comfortable running the routes, and learning, and helping Nate (Washington) lead out there.”

Last season, Wright led the Titans with 94 receptions for 1079 yards. This season, his teammates say he is starting to lead off the field as well.

“He has always been a talented player since the moment he showed up here,” quarterback Jake Locker said of Wright, adding, "but you can tell by the way he works that he is becoming a leader in that room and it’s fun to see him take that step.

His coaches are taking notice as well.

“I’ve been very impressed with Kendall,” Whisenhunt said. “Just how he goes about his business. He’s changed since we first got in here and I’m really excited to see what he’s going to do for us this year.”
