8 people charged in Williamson County meth bust

THOMPSON'S STATION, Tenn. -

Eight people, including five men and three women, were arrested Tuesday evening in Williamson County after authorities discovered an active meth lab inside a home.

Officials told News 2 they arrived at a home in the 6600 block of Cool Springs Road in Thompson’s Station to serve a probation violation on a man who reportedly lives there.

Once the door was opened, an active meth lab was allegedly in plain sight.

Authorities said another inactive meth lab was found outside the home.

Neighbor Tony Arnold told News 2 he wasn’t surprised.

“There’s traffic in and out, all hours of the day or night. Two, three or four in the morning,” he explained.

Members of the local meth task force plan to be on the scene for a while, processing evidence and taking care of the active lab.

All eight suspects were booked into the Williamson County jail following decontamination at the scene.

The names of those arrested have yet to be released.
