Person of interest in homicide case may be in Middle Tenn.
JACKSON, Tenn. -
Authorities believe a person of interest in a homicide case out of Jackson, Tennessee may be in the Middle Tennessee area.
Police say 29-year-old Clayton Nelson could be in Cheatham or Williamson County.
He is a person of interest for the death of his father, 57-year-old Jeffrey Nelson.
A concerned family member asked police to do a welfare check of his home at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
When officers arrived, they found Jeffrey Nelson deceased from an apparent homicide.
The side door of the home was ajar and there was no sign of forced entry.
Authorities are looking for Clayton Nelson to question him about his father’s murder.
Investigators said his father’s black 2001 Infiniti QX4 is missing. It has a Tennessee license plate 419-NJW.
