Songwriter arrested after reported fight, homophobic slur

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A songwriter who has written several popular country music songs was arrested for a reported bar fight and using racial and homophobic slurs.

Dallas Davidson was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and public intoxication early Thursday morning.

The songwriter got in a fight with several people at the Tin Roof in downtown Nashville.

When police arrived, he was reportedly swearing, punching his hand, screaming obscenities and shouting racial and homophobic slurs.

Davidson was arrested and booked at 2:50 a.m. He has since been released.

Davidson has written several country hits including "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," "Country Girl, (Shake It For Me)" and "That's How Country Boys Roll.”

He also starred on the reality show "Private Lives of Nashville Wives" with his ex-wife Sarah Davidson.
